A full day in the mountains, made for your first time. You learn the basics with your guide, climb 2 to 3 routes with the rope anchored from above (top rope) and share the experience in nature.

FROM THE CITY TO THE WALL

Meet up
8:00 am at Plaza Egaña. We drive together to Cajón del Maipo.
- 02
Short hike
We walk to the wall and learn about the local geology, plants and wildlife.

Safety briefing
We explain the equipment and how the rope works.
- 04
Time to climb
2 to 3 routes with top rope. The guide sets up everything.
- 05
Lunch
We eat together in the mountains and share the experience.
- 06
Back to the city
We talk about the day and return around 5:00 pm.

Climbing with a registered operator makes a difference. This is what we do on every trip, no exceptions.
ACGM-certified guide
Sets up the routes, belays you and watches every climb from start to finish.
Rope from above
You climb on top rope: the rope is anchored above you all the time. If you let go, you just hang on the rope. You do not fall.
Max. 5 per guide
Small groups, so the guide can pay attention to each person.
Checked equipment
Helmet, harness and shoes for each person, checked before every trip.
Double check
Before each climb, the guide and the climber check the harness, knot and belay together.
Insurance and first aid

Vertika is an adventure tourism and ecotourism operator, registered with SERNATUR. We started as students of Expedition and Ecotourism Management with a simple idea: to bring the mountains closer to people who have never lived them, safely and with respect for nature.

Do I need experience?
No. The trip is designed for your first time. Your guide teaches you everything at the rock.
Is it safe?
You climb with the rope anchored from above (top rope), with an ACGM-certified guide, groups of maximum 5 people, full equipment and accident insurance. See how we work.
Can I come alone?
Yes. Trips are in small groups, and they are a great way to meet people who love the mountains too.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes, a jacket or fleece, water (at least 1.5 L), sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and a small backpack. Hiking boots are ideal.
Where is it?
At Los Manyos, El Manzano, in San José de Maipo, about one hour from Santiago. We leave together from Plaza Egaña, Santiago.
What if my plans change?
You can change your date for free up to 72 hours before the trip, depending on availability. If you cancel 72 hours or more before, we refund 100% of what you paid. See terms and conditions.
What if the weather is bad?
We check the forecast before every trip. If conditions are not safe, we cancel and you choose: a new date for free or a 100% refund.
How do I book?
Message us on WhatsApp and we send you the next dates and prices. You confirm your spot with a 50% deposit and pay the rest up to 48 hours before the trip.
Is there an age limit?
The activity is for people from 16 to 70 years old. Under 18s need written permission from a parent or legal guardian. Before climbing, every participant signs a registration and risk acceptance form (in English or Spanish).
